adjustable retention system
padding under the chin (protection when fastening)
size: S-M 55 - 59 cm, L-XL 58 - 62 cm
weight: 260 g, 276 g
packed in FORCE box

MIPS - that stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. The system, devised by Swedish doctors and engineers, was designed to provide protection even when the human brain is subjected to strong rotational movements during an oblique impact (= multi-directional impact).
When the head rotates rapidly and stops abruptly, the brain tissue may be subjected to a high degree of stress due to rotational acceleration. The stretching of the tissue potentially caused by these movements can result in different types of brain damage. MIPS is designed to reduce the rotational acceleration from an impact.

The Mips system consists of a low-friction shell (inlay bonded with elastomer) that is fixed inside the helmet. The low-friction shell is designed to slide inside the helmet in the event of an accident so that forces can be directed away from the head. Sliding range of 10 to 15 millimeters.
